While Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods athlete Jermaine Mathews Jr may not get the press clippings of other future Buckeye teammates, he’s proving he can hold his own with anyone while also helping Winton Woods work towards defending their OHSAA Division II state title.
Mathews has the skill set to play on either side of the ball, but many feel his Buckeye future lies on defense, where he can use his outstanding cover skills to keep Ohio State fans excited by the direction of the Buckeyes defense in future years.
