They say you can always go home, and for Greg Huster, the road back to Cincinnati (Ohio) Deer Park High School was one of playing and coaching at the college level.
Huster, a varsity football team captain and member of the National Honor Society during his time at Deer Park, left a lasting impression during his prep career that led to him being named the school’s director of athletics in 2018 after college coaching stops at his college alma mater, Mount St. Joseph, the University of Cincinnati, and Davenport University.
With a hands-on approach, Huster has been working to build a program with deep ties to his student-athletes and the local community. Friday night, DBHuddle was on hand at Harry Yeaggy Family Stadium for the First Star Logistics Game of the Week between the Deer Park Wildcats and Madeira.
Following the game, we spoke with Greg Huster about his love and vision to build Deer Park into a place athletes can excel on and off the field as they prepare for life’s biggest game.
