West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West junior linebacker Jacob Asbeck may be overshadowed by teammates already committed to programs like Ohio State and Notre Dame. However, as he’s put together an excellent season for the Firebirds, the 6-foot-1, 185-pound two-sport athlete is a prospect we expect to hear more about in the coming months.
With a team-leading eight sacks, 14 tackles for loss, 63 total tackles, and a forced fumble, Asbeck is building off a solid sophomore season where he posted 60 tackles and 5.5 sacks.
Several Mid-American Conference programs are showing early interest, with others like Cincinnati will host Asbeck this weekend for an unofficial game day visit.
DBHuddle.com expects Asbeck to see even more interest as college programs sign the first way of 2023 prospects in mid-December.
