Jimmy Burrow, a former college football coach, and father of Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, returns to In The Trenches with Dave Lapham, presented by First Star Logistics, to discuss how his son is recovering from his appendix surgery.
The former defensive coordinator of the Ohio University Bobcats also talks about how he feels Joe will handle the downtime and the excitement surrounding the 2022 Bengals season with new protection up front and an added target in tight end Hayden Hurst.
As Jimmy stresses, Joe is still just a kid from Athens (The Plains), Ohio, who happens to be playing in the NFL.
It is always great to have Jimmy Burrow on In The Trenches. He brings excellent knowledge of the game as he was a player in college (Nebraska), NFL (Green Bay), and the CFL, where he won a Grey Cup in 1977 before the start of a coaching career that spanned from 1981 until he retired to watch his son play his final season at LSU in 2019.
