When they talk about an Ohio high school legend, one of the names that rise to the top of the list is longtime Cleveland St Ignatius head football coach Chuck Kyle.
Kyle, one of the country’s most respected and accomplished high school football coaches, has spent a lifetime at St Ignatius and plans to retire following this football season and school year.
Since 1983, Kyle has coached at St Ignatius and compiled a record of 350-90-1 and an impressive 72-18 record in the OHSAA playoffs. He’s led the Wildcats to a state-record 11 Division I State Titles and four National Championships. In 2018, MaxPreps named Kyle, the 6th greatest high school football coach of all time.
Chuck Kyle and I have worked together for over 30 years to promote high school players in Ohio. Over that time, we have built respect for each other and shared a tremendous friendship. This year will be Coach Kyle’s last football season, track season, and last in a classroom as an English teacher. After 50 years of doing these positions, he deserves some vacation time!

Great interview, as I would expect nothing less from him.
