I’ve never liked comparing a young player with a player I scouted in years past. However, every once in a while, you come across a player who takes you back to a player that was a difference-maker.
Centerville (Ohio) junior defensive end/linebacker Joseph Jean-Louis is one such player as he took me back to another Centerville standout Ifeadi Odenigbo who graduated from Centerville in 2012.
While Odenigbo made his mark when he chased down and caught Huber Heights (Ohio) Wayne and future Ohio State standout quarterback Braxton Miller, Jean-Louis has yet to have his statement play and is a prospect few may know about.
Standing 6-foot-2, 200-pounds, Jean-Louis stands about an inch shorter and 15-pounds lighter than Odenigbo did during his prep career, but there are still two seasons of high school football left to play.
Football In Ohio spoke with Jean-Louis following the Elks 38-24 win over Fairfield about the game, his development, and what camps he attended this past summer.
