Tipp City (Ohio) Tippecanoe senior quarterback Liam Poronsky and the rest of his Red Devils teammates knew coming into their Division 3, Region 12 playoff match-up against Western Brown the powers of the Broncos standout quarterback Drew Novak and the quick strike offensive attack they were about to face.
While Novak would throw for 394 yards and a touchdown while adding 132 yards rushing and two scores, Poronsky showed he could put the Red Devils on his back, throwing for 163 yards and a touchdown while running the ball 19 times for 237 yards and three scores in the Red Devils 41-30 win.
Poronsky knows the win was not all about him as he also saw teammates on both sides of the ball make plays all night, advancing the Red Devils to next week’s Region 12 finals against No. 1 seed Hamilton Badin.
After the game, DBHuddle.com spoke with Poronsky about the win and more presented by First Star Logistics.
