The Cincinnati Reds are ready for a big week of baseball starting in New York, taking on the National League East-leading Mets in a three-game series.
Coming off a three-game series against the National League Central second-place Milwaukee Brewers that saw the Reds win two, fans and baseball are more interested in what the Reds will be doing on Thursday night when they’ll take on the Chicago Cubs in Dyersville, Iowa, for the Field of Dreams Game.
Monday, the Reds unveiled the throwback uniforms they will wear, and fan reaction has been highly positive on Twitter.
The Reds combination will have hats featuring a red stylized “C” along with pinstripes, while the jerseys will be white with pinstripes and a wishbone “C” on top of the word “REDS.”
MLB also released the Cubs uniform combination based on their home uniforms from the 1927-1929 seasons with hats based on the 1914 season.
