Before his freshman year of high school, West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West quarterback Mitchell Bolden saw his football journey change as his father, Tom Bolden, left Colerain High School, where he’d just led the Cardinals to an OHSAA Division One state championship game for a future at Greater Miami Conference rival Lakota West.
Bolden, who watched his brother and cousins play significant roles at Colerain, started his new journey taking over the reins of the Firebirds’ offense early in his first season. Since that first year, Bolden has worked to silence the doubters improving his game each season.
Now, Bolden is on the back end of his prep career. While he’s excited about his future playing at the college level, he knows Friday’s win over Princeton is just one step towards playing in and winning a state championship.
First Star Logistics presents our exclusive one-on-one interview with the Firebirds quarterback as he talks with DBHuddle about the win, his career at Lakota West, recruiting, and staying focused on the following steps to reaching the goal set before the start of his senior season.
