Last season St. Xavier quarterback Brogan McCaughey saw the ups and downs of the game of football.
Having to miss a couple of games because of injury, McCaughey worked to overcome obstacles presented to each player and team during the 2020 season. Despite a couple of tough performances during the playoffs, he also overcame and thrived in the Bombers’ impressive 44-3 Division I state championship win over Pickerington (Ohio) Central.
After passing for 2,780 yards and 28 touchdowns, McCaughey saw college recruiting interest with reported offers from several programs in the Mid-American Conference and Ivy League programs.
However, with dreams of winning a second state title in reach and a fast 2-0 start with impressive wins over West Chester (Ohio), Lakota West (31-14), and Colerain (42-7), McCaughey is focused on winning now than his college future.
