For West Chester (Ohio) Lakota West head football coach Tom Bolden, 2022 will be another season to remember as his Firebirds went 10-0 during the regular season and, on Friday night, advanced to the next round of the OHSAA playoffs with an impressive 35-0 win over Cincinnati (Ohio) Princeton, a team they defeated in Week Five this season 31-7.
Last season Bolden and the Firebirds lost to Moeller in the Region Four final with a team loaded with talent. This season, Bolden knows he’s got the talent with senior quarterback Mitch Bolden leading the offense and two future major college players in Ohio State pledge Malik Hartford and Notre Dame pledge Ben Minich.
DBHubble.com spoke with Coach Bolden following the game about his team’s win over Princeton, the talent in all classes that make up this Firebirds squad, and the goal of reaching the Division One state championship game.
