Trey Cornist brings power and quickness to the field from the running back position. Played at Cincinnati Mt. Healthy High School before transferring to Winton Woods for his senior year. As a junior, Cornist rushed for 1,304 yards and 14 touchdowns. Is the type of player who could also be moved to linebacker, but we like what we saw during a live evaluation early in his senior season. Has already given Georgia Tech his verbal pledge. When running the ball, Cornist shows balance and rarely goes down on first contact. What we like the most about Cornist is his willingness to run North-South and his overall toughness.
UPDATE: Cornist announced he was no longer part of the 2023 Georgia Tech class on Oct. 25, 2022. Since that announcement, he’s seen the likes of Kentucky, Michigan, and others jump on board, looking to secure his pledge.
