Over the past several seasons, a member of the Bruder family has played a vital role in the success of the Centerville Elks football program. Now, Nic Bruder has taken his place, coming up with big hits and big plays in helping the 2022 Elks with a 3-0 start to the season.
Bruder was a two-way standout as a junior, with 30 receptions for 404 yards and six touchdowns while adding 47 tackles, a sack, and three interceptions, with two returned for touchdowns.
After three weeks, Bruger is again the main reason for the Elks success, with nine receptions for 130 yards and seven tackles, and a big pick-six against Gahanna Lincoln that set the tone for a 10-0 win to move to 3-0 on the season.
DBHuddle spoke with Bruder following his team’s win, and while many might expect Bruder to be looking to take his game to the college level, it’s another sport that has his interest over football.
